‘Why Buhari Should Reject All 46 Bills Nigerian Senate Passed in 10 Minutes’

A political watchdog, the Transition Monitoring Group (TMG), has urged Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari to reject the 46 bills the 7th Senate National Assembly reportedly passed in less than ten minutes on Wednesday, the eve of their tenure.
According to Guardian, TMG believes that the legislators acted neither with recourse to due legislative process nor a sense of reflection about the implications of their action on the image of the country.

In a statement by its chairman, Comrade Ibrahim M. Zikirullahi, TMG described what the lawmakers did as “disturbing," saying it "was not surprising that they ran the country aground."

“TMG condemns this subtle attempt by lawmakers to promulgate decrees instead of legislating for the good governance of Nigeria.

"We take exception to the use of the nation’s democratic apparatus for acts of legislative rascality.
