Ministerial Screening: Senate President,Saraki Writes Letter to President Buhari

Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Thursday wrote a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari on the confirmation by the Senate of 18 nominees whose names were among those forwarded for consideration for ministerial positions.

 

Saraki, in a statement,by Yusuph Olaniyonu,his Special Adviser,Media and Publicity,said the letter, to that effect was sent through Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters (Senate).

He informed the President that the Senate has found the 18 nominees who have gone through its confirmation hearing suitable to occupy the office of ministers of the Federal Republic as provided for in Section 147 (2) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.
