Former Bayelsa state governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) in Rivers State.
According to LEADERSHIP, close family sources claimed that the former governor developed unexplained ailment in his hometown in Ammassoma community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa and was rushed to Port Harcourt.
