Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have stormed the residence of Nigeria’s former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The development comes shortly after the official’s arrest in London by the UK National Crime Agency.
According to Premium Times, the representatives of the anti-graft agency arrived at Diezani’s house located in Asokoro district of Abuja, having sealed the property in the evening of Friday, October 2.

At the same time the EFCC stormed the Lagos home of Jide Omokore, one of Diezani’s business allies, Sahara Reporters provides an update. A source disclosed that his wife had locked herself inside one of the rooms at Turnbull to hide from the operatives.
It should be recalled that the news about the arrest contained that five Nigerians had been detained in the UK over bribery and corruption related offences.

Although initially the identities of those arrested were not provided, in a fresh development the UK side confirmed Diezani’s detention.
