Top 10 Veteran Nollywood Stars Who Graduated From University of Lagos


Lagos State is the largest city in Nigeria, the second fastest growing city on the African continent, after Abuja, and one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world.

It is no doubt that University of Lagos (Unilag) which is at some point is referred as one of the best Universities in the country, has many Nollywood stars as its alumni since its inception in 1962 till date.

Below is a list of top 10 veteran Nollywood stars who graduated from Unilag.


1. Joke Silva


 

Popular and well respected actress and wife of Veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva is University of Lagos. She was born in Lagos and She attended Holy Child College in Lagos, after which she studied English at the Unilag.


2. Richard Mofe Damijo

Delta State-born renowned actor cum politician, Richard Mofe Damijo better known as RMD has two University degrees. After securing a degree in Theatre Arts from University of Benin, Mofe-Damijo returned to school to study Law at the University of Lagos and graduated in 2004.



3. Kenneth Okonkwo

Enugu state-born actor, Kenneth Okonkwo who is one of the pioneers of Nollywood holds a degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.



4. Kanayo O Kanayo

Anayo Modestus Onyekwere popularly known as Kanayo O Kanayo is also a UNILAG graduate. The veteran actor, who made his debut film appearance in ‘Living in Bondage’, studied Philosophy at the University of Lagos.
